 <title>Securing Liberty</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;As I contemplate the means to securing freedom once more, searching for the strategic lynch pins necessary for success, I keep returning to the same key components.  Few revolutions were concerned with freedom.  Most seem to have been about revenge (e.g., class warfare), regime change, and pretenses for even greater tyranny.  Two obvious examples of the former come to mind, but only one succeeded.  I&#039;ve written before about the ingredients necessary for success in the American Revolution.  What now might we have and what is still missing?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Militias are all well and good&amp;#8212;I don&#039;t mean just the paramilitary kind but the properly defined kind (every able bodied man...)&amp;#8212;but against the fedgov&#039;s military, there would be no chance of success except in martyrdom.  Martyrdom is great for raising sympathizers but lousy at actually winning.  One key ingredient, perhaps one of the most important, necessary for success at securing freedom, is captured in the spirit of Oath Keepers.  Patriots would require thoughtful, conscientious, intelligent officers of significant rank to part ways from their evil masters and lead their men in the cause of freedom against domestic tyranny.  Only by mass support of their oaths of duty to the Constitutional Republic and &lt;b&gt;not&lt;/b&gt; to a despotic, corrupt, and illegitimate fedgov, can any forceful reclamation of liberty have any chance of success.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We have the necessary manufacturing base for materiel support, but protecting it would require not only regular army (that is, formal military) resources but high-end sympathy among those who would launch such domestic attacks.  I predict such lines would be drawn between federal police and oath-keeping military (FBI vs. Army, for example).  Waco and similar events show us what the federal police mentality is, and their oaths appear to mean little.  The fedgov certainly would annex private materiel manufacturers given any provocation, and patriots would need the might to defend against such usurpation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;While American churches have sold their souls to evil, there is still a remnant of believers (some hiding in churches and others just hiding) who can define freedom properly and know what it takes to earn it.  I expect the holiness of the cause of liberty to bubble out rather quickly, given the right impetus.  Whether or not it would be enough to provide the necessary momentum to the cause and yet still restrain it to moral revolution, remains to be seen.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;One of the names of the devil is the Deceiver.  He has worked overtime in our present system of government, all four branches, hiding and twisting the truth.  We are presented with two parties even though their values are almost entirely common.  We are told the courts decide legal righteousness, yet they have become self-appointed lawmakers.  The Executive is the largest employer and tyrant on earth (by an order of magnitude), despite its intended role as servant.  The fourth branch, never granted as such by the Constitution, is the media.  They have become little more than a false prophet to the antichrist that is the fedgov, the &amp;lt;female dog&amp;gt; lap dog that pants at every table scrap offered, attacking patriotic enemies of its master.  The general population is still too blinded by the Deceiver into believing these institutions serve the people or are in any way legitimate.  These lies must fall away &lt;i&gt;en masse&lt;/i&gt; for a popular support of revolution.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Impotent NATO aside, foreign support of an American revolution should be easy to find, since the fedgov has made enemies with everybody, including most of our allies.  A cause toward liberty, including a replacement of the almighty fedgov with a weak central government (as was Constitutionally prescribed), should garner cheers from all corners of the globe.  I expect patriots will require this support, to secure geopolitical legitimacy, but be careful with whom they ally.  Islamic nations, for example, may be among the first to join such a cause, but their ulterior motives are evil and would replace our present tyranny with their own.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;One of the toughest hurdles is the value placed upon individual freedom.  The American people have been bribed to surrender this value.  To pay the price for liberty, we must be willing to lose everything else (except our souls).  The deeper we go into the Great Depression 2.0, and the more the fedgov takes away what little we have, the easier it will be for people to see that they have little to lose should they choose to fight for their freedom.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;At the root of all these components of a successful revolution toward individual liberty lies wisdom, something in very short supply today.  However, it&#039;s not dead and gone yet.  Given the right conditions and the right leaders, I can foresee a groundswell of support for the wise course of action.  The American Experiment may be dead, but death is not the end.  Just as the first Resurrection assured us of eternal life, should we accept it, so we can also choose resurrection (over death) of freedom and see these United States restored to their initial glory (and to His).  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I pray for the peaceful return of the Republic, but human nature&amp;#8212;that is, the evil so thoroughly in control of our governments&amp;#8212;will not permit it.  To secure peace, we must sometimes endure war.  To secure liberty, we must employ defensive force or the imminent, credible threat thereof.  It is this lack of credibility of the patriots among the usurpers that will lead us to war.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Demon Pass</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;A reader&#039;s post to an article by Peggy Noonan&#039;s in the WSJ on Deem and Pass published yesterday (3/18/2010) appropriately brings in the relevance of The Declaration of Independence:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&quot;There is guidance for our situation:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, —&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Why is Georgia proving itself a eunuch?  Come on guys.  You should be ashamed for failing to lead the States in a drive toward American liberty.  Of course, GA has never been much of a national leader, nor have they been especially friendly toward individual liberty.  I&#039;m disappointed but not at all surprised.  Maybe a move to Wyoming is in my future.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Enemy of the States</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn&#039;t exist.  He is the master of deception.  The greatest trick the tyrants ever pulled was convincing the nation they were legitimate.  Our nation&#039;s greatest enemy is the federal government.  There.  I said it.  And I have broken federal law doing so (despite the First Amendment&#039;s obvious protections).  Our so-called president is an obvious usurper with overwhelming evidence of his illegitimacy.  Congress is exempt from all their own rules, violates Constitutional limitations, and ignores Natural Law.  The SCOTUS is made up of morons who can&#039;t interpret a menu correctly, let alone the Constitution.  And it just goes &lt;a href=&quot;http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2010/03/outlaw-president-obamas-justice-dept-shuts-down-acorn-investigation.html&quot;&gt;downhill&lt;/a&gt; from there.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Stupid &quot;Christian&quot;</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;A few weeks ago, Elton John was quoted as stating that &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.accessatlanta.com/celebrities-tv/elton-john-jesus-was-314127.html&quot;&gt;Jesus was a &quot;gay man.&quot;&lt;/a&gt;  His &quot;reasoning&quot; was that, like gays, Jesus was &quot;loving and forgiving.&quot;  So, Mr. John has once again publicly demonstrated that he is a moron.&lt;small&gt;&lt;sup&gt;*&lt;/sup&gt;&lt;/small&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Neal Horsley took offense at Mr. John&#039;s statement.  Unfortunately, instead of responding by demonstrating Christ&#039;s love to Mr. John, Mr. Horsley opted to publicly threaten him and &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.ajc.com/news/atlanta/carrollton-man-charged-with-363023.html&quot;&gt;call for his death&lt;/a&gt;.  Mr. Horsley managed to reinforce anti-Christian stereotypes by demonstrating that he, too, is a moron.  Not only that, but Horsley was arrested and is facing charges.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Persecution of Christians is on the rise.  It&#039;s going to be bad enough if we don&#039;t provide our persecutors with ammunition!  We must act in love, returning kindness for evil.  Whether Elton John deserves to die at this point is irrelevant.  Like each of us, he will stand before the judge, and he will receive perfect, Godly justice.  Our sole concern should be doing whatever we can to ensure that John&#039;s judgment will be favorable.&lt;/p&gt;

If we assume (just for the moment) that all gays are loving and forgiving, this does not preclude that non-gays can exhibit the same qualities.  The next issue is that the premise, &quot;gays are loving and forgiving,&quot; is demonstrably false.  Have a look at how gays treat former homosexuals who choose a heterosexual lifestyle for confirmation of that.  Finally, while Jesus did indeed seek to forgive His killers, the fact is that His forgiveness is nullified if it is rejected.  If Mr. John stands before the Lord without having accepted His atoning sacrifice, then he will not find Jesus to be forgiving at all.  So, it looks like Mr. John is 0-for-3 on the &quot;Jesus is gay&quot; argument.  Brilliant analysis there, Elt.&lt;/small&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Dog Politics</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day.  He has his food prepared for him.  He can eat whenever he wants, 24/7/365.  His meals are provided at no cost.  He visits the doctor once a year for his checkup and any other times during the year if any medical needs arise.  For this he pays nothing and nothing is required of him.  He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house much larger than he needs, but he is not required to do any upkeep. If he makes a mess, someone else cleans it up. He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep; these accommodations are absolutely free. He is living like a king and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever. All his costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a brick in the head:  my dog is a leftist!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Just what is so &lt;b&gt;public&lt;/b&gt; about government schooling?  Taxpayers can&#039;t ask for &lt;b&gt;public&lt;/b&gt; records.  They cannot petition the government for a redress of grievances.  They cannot even exercise free speech by complaining.  This is what the &lt;b&gt;public&lt;/b&gt; schools want.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I really don&#039;t know how the evil that is public school can be made more obvious to the morons, so-called Christians included, who suck this teat of poison.&lt;/p&gt;
