Bees, Fungus, Famine, and Hubris

| | | |

In the Olivet Discourse, recorded in Matthew 24 and 25, the Lord prophecied about the signs that will mark the beginning of the last days. One of those signs is widespread famine:

7For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Muslim History Rewritten

|

Among my many news sources, I've been reading the Arabic version of Al Jazeera—not the whitewashed English version, sanitized for Western consumption. Al Jazeera is a well known news outlet for Muslim terrorists and their ilk. They exhibit a definite pattern of revisionism. For example, they claim the Jews "stole" their holidays from Muslims, ignoring the obvious fact that Islam didn't even exist until 1600+ years after the Biblical holidays were established by God! » read more »

Securing Liberty

As I contemplate the means to securing freedom once more, searching for the strategic lynch pins necessary for success, I keep returning to the same key components. Few revolutions were concerned with freedom. Most seem to have been about revenge (e.g., class warfare), regime change, and pretenses for even greater tyranny. Two obvious examples of the former come to mind, but only one succeeded. I've written before about the ingredients necessary for success in the American Revolution. What now might we have and what is still missing? » read more »

Praise For Lee And Jackson
by Chuck Baldwin
January 6, 2010

January is often referred to as "Generals Month" since no less than four famous Confederate Generals claimed January as their birth month: James Longstreet (Jan. 8, 1821), Robert E. Lee (Jan. 19, 1807), Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson (Jan. 21, 1824), and George Pickett (Jan. 28, 1825). Two of these men, Lee and Jackson, are particularly noteworthy. » read more »

Price of Freedom

From http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/folder/ameri... ...

It was a glorious morning. The sun was shining and the wind was from the southeast. Up especially early, a tall bony, redheaded young Virginian found time to buy a new thermometer, for which he paid three pounds, fifteen shillings. He also bought gloves for Martha, his wife, who was ill at home. » read more »

United States

| |

Article III, Section 3, of the Constitution starts:

Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. (emphasis added)

Notice the plurality used to reference "United States". The United States are not the federal government but the 50 sovereign states themselves. The United States are not synonymous with the federal government. The United States are a federal collection of otherwise free and independent states. » read more »
