Defense attorney wanted

I am looking for a good criminal defense attorney, specifically one supportive of the Second Amendment and familiar with self-defense. Can you recommend one in GA (Gwinnett) to me?

Sane Murder

The courts and the populace have been steadily growing toward a logical and spiritual fallacy, and this trend will result in dire consequences for our society. Increasingly, people seem to believe a murderer must be insane to commit whatever heinous murder he committed (e.g.; counterpoint). In particular, common thought now suggests it somehow requires a greater degree of mental illness to murder someone with a blade than with a firearm. » read more »

A Remnant

I have read some of the blogs on this site and I feel a need to say something. I have lived a long time and have observed a lot of history. I have been involved in politics since I was 16 years old. I was Vice President of Tennessee's Young Americans for Freedom, Young Republicans Club, been an assistant delegate to conventions, etc. I care so much for freedom as that is what the Lord has given us -- free will. I believe that we can practice the Christian Faith so much better in a Capitalistic Society (economics) and I believe more in a Republic which is what our Founding Fathers intended for us to have instead of a Democracy. » read more »

First, check the Constitution

| | | |

Not long ago, I happened to reread an old blog post of mine that deals with the issue of the powers granted to the federal government by the Constitution. After I finished reading my "additional thoughts" at the end, another thought occurred to me. When President Washington was considering the bill, passed by Congress, that would enact a national bank, he wanted to investigate whether it was supported by the Constitution before he signed it into law. This seems like a reasonable approach to me, but unfortunately, today's lawmakers don't seem to have much regard for the Constitution. » read more »

To protect and serve... themselves

| |

Still think the police are there to "protect and serve"? Ask this grandmother about that. Seems she was walking her dog in the park when a teen took a shot at her with a handgun. Naturally, she went to the police. Their response: "Walk your dog somewhere else."

War on drugs

The land of the free:

Until a July Florida appeals court ruling, Mark O'Hara, 45, had been in prison for two years of a 25-year mandatory-minimum for trafficking in hydrocodone, based solely on the 58 tablets found in his possession in 2004, even though his supply had been lawfully prescribed by a physician. The state attorney in Tampa had pointed out that Florida law did not mention a "prescription" defense to trafficking, and even though O'Hara had lined up a doctor and a pharmacist to testify, the jury wasn't allowed to consider the issue. After the appeals court called the case "absurd" and ordered a new trial with the prescription evidence allowed, the state attorney still refused to drop the case. Mother cares for hundreds but kills her own

| |

A woman left her infant in her Mercedes (note her occupation) on a hot day for over eight hours, killing the child. It's not bad enough that she killed her own child by incompetence that really takes the cake, but she's an assistant principal at a public school. She didn't love her own child enough to keep from killing it, so why in hell is she considered trustworthy to care for hundreds of others' kids? And here's justice: as of this writing, she's not being charged with anything!

Why Saints in Glory Will Rejoice to See The Torments of the Damned

WHY SAINTS IN GLORY WILL REJOICE TO SEE THE TORMENTS OF THE darnED

by Jonathan Edwards

NEGATIVELY: it will not be because the saints in heaven are the subjects of any ill disposition; but, on the contrary, this rejoicing of theirs will be the fruit of an amiable and excellent disposition: it will be the fruit of a perfect holiness and conformity to Christ, the holy Lamb of God. The devil delights in the misery of men from cruelty, and from envy and revenge, and because he delights in misery, for its own sake, from a malicious disposition. » read more »

We Can't Blame White People by BILL COSBY

We Can't Blame White People by BILL COSBY

They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English.

I can't even talk the way these people talk: Why you ain't, Where you is, What he drive, Where he stay, Where he work, Who you be.. And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk.

Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of cr@p coming out of your mouth. In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living.

People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around. The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal. These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers for what? And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics. » read more »

Why so hard on 'em?

I'm sometimes asked why I am so hard on government or stupidity. I've given this significant thought over the years. The answer I discovered surprised me. » read more »
