Your children are not your own

|

There's a de facto legal menace growing that assumes the State knows better how to raise your children than you do. You're a fool to think this can't happen in the U.S.

And to commemorate the State's ownership of your children, Vox has a nice poem to offer.

Good line!

I liked this line from Vox's poem:

For little is more blindly cruel
Than sentencing a child to school.

This will happen here, too

Some Mennonites are moving from Quebec because they prefer that their children not be exposed to the false teaching of evolution (among other things). They have established their own school, but the government has determined that the school is unacceptable because it does not teach evolution. They have threatened to take the children into state custody. The Mennonites, sensibly, are moving rather than submit to the government.

Recall the story of Melissa Busekros in Germany. We now have two examples of governments that are willing to use force to ensure that all its citizens are subjected to mandatory indoctrination. It's only a matter of time before the same thing happens here in the U.S. It will start in California (where it is currently all but impossible to homeschool), but it won't end there.
