The End of the United States
The Constitution is unofficially dead and has been for quite some time. Officially, though, the U.S. could come to an end very soon. There are only two more states needed to call a Constitutional Convention. Most assuredly, if one is called, the strong central government called for by the Constitution (which I oppose) will be replaced with an even stronger one.
The Bill of Rights will no longer be a recognition of rights granted by God, to be protected from government; it will turn into a list of allowances and privileges the government might "grant" us. The latter denies God and His Natural Law, denies that government derives its power from men, but assumes government exists apart from and before men and is, by default, the ultimate power.
At the time of the first Con Con, the leaders of this fledgling nation were largely libertarian (by today's definition) and Christian. Today, the leaders practice all kinds of evil, are collectivists and totalitarians, and may still have residual fear of the people they wish to dispatch (both the fear and those whom they might fear). Any attempt to revise or rewrite the Constitution will all but insure the elimination of any semblance of freedom.
What will the patriots' reaction be? (And how many of us are there, really?) Leave the U.S.? And go where? The rest of the world appears to be even more stupid than our leaders are, if possible. Take up arms and start the next, long overdue revolution? For the support of a new declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, will we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor?

On the other hand, if Obsama
On the other hand, if Obsama continues his course, a reactionary ConCon may very well end up being libertarian in an effort to prevent future tyranny. Hmmm....
