My mom needs prayers

My mom could use your prayers. She's been battling a kidney infection for the past two weeks. They docs thought her gallstones were the problem last week, but earlier this week she woke up vomiting with fever, and my step-dad took her to the hospital. She was sent home 8 hours later. I spent all day Wednesday with her and she looked about the worst I've ever seen her. Anyway the kids and I prayed for her before we left the other day and she has been getting better since then. But she just called and she's still weak and in need of full healing.

We're going back up to visit her now (thankfully only 30 minutes away in the same county). Any prayers would be appreciated. Thanks.

Praying...

Is there anything else we can do, too?

Just keep praying

Praying is the most powerful and effective thing you can do, and we appreciate it.

Mom is getting better, but she still looks a little yellow to me (not sure why, don't think it's her liver but all the drugs). She's up and about however slowly, and she finally took a shower today. She also had her first "solid" food in days, which consisted of rice and green beans.

The doctors don't know what's going on. She had a couple of CAT scans, and an MRI, and a dye test for her gallbladder. It is full of stones but they don't think that's what is causing her problems. Since she was vomiting the other morning, she's being referred to a gastroentologist next week.

She's already on other medication for other issues she has going on and has had for years, so this isn't helping. I'm not sure all of the drugs together are doing her much good. She's had kidney and bladder problems a lot the past decade. She had a hysterectomy when she was 29 and has been on hormone therapy since. That was 30 years ago.

Anyway, she does believe in Jesus and grew up Methodist, and I'm not sure she really believes in healing, but I do, and I'm praying for a miracle. Mom's had too many physical issues these past years and I hate seeing her go thru it all. I pray God will do a miracle in her and that the doctors will be amazed at her healing.

Oh, and if you would like to know, her name is Sandy. Thanks.

Update on Mom

Hey, thanks for your prayers. Mom is doing much better and is back at work. Her doctor gave her a clean bill of health on Monday. She even quit taking her meds a little early - not necessarily something I would advise - and postponed her gastro appt. until late Sept.

God is good! Thanks again for your prayers.
