Not new

As I understand it, it has been illegal to threaten to kill the president for quite some time. Of course, the man in this story didn't commit that particular "crime," and it wouldn't make it any less of a violation of free speech if he had. (I mean really, does anybody notice a difference between a threat and an actual murder? Which one violates the natural rights of another person, and which one doesn't?)
