Different Pets and Different People

Different people like different kinds of pets. Some people really like cats. Ya, cats are cute. But they tear up your furniture, break valuable things, and their litter box smells! Some other people really like birds. I think they're pretty, but they're really loud! Some really different people like reptiles. They're really fun to learn about, but they're just too gross and slimy for me!
But just because different people like different pets, that doesn't mean you should pick your friends by what kind of pet they have! Stick to the person's personality!

Not slimy

For the record, snakes aren't slimy (unless they've been slithering through slime). In fact, they're fairly easy pets. Feed 'em only once or twice a year!
Why I love cats

So since cats are stubborn, seem to be highly cognitive (yes I'm sure that can be argued), love to sleep, skittish, and have really really sharp claws, then I must be the same way.
Well, yes, I can see that.
I also think I may be allergic to some now in my older years. 
So's my son.
Correlation
People often pick pets compatible with their own personalities. There may be some logic to picking friends based upon the pets they keep after all.
