Mentoring
Mentoring
Mentoring is a very serious relationship involving committed prayer and significant emotional and spiritual investment, also called discipleship. While there are degrees of mentoring, the commitment on the part of the mentors is never taken lightly. Katrina and Wayne are each gifted in one-on-one ministry, often called mentoring.
Mentoring is not something that can be forced. Personalities must mesh well. Investments in the friendship must be made by all concerned. It takes both mentor and protégé to make a discipleship relationship work. While it may sometimes seem as if the investment is solely one-sided along with the benefits, this is not so; the mentor is blessed just as much as the protégé, even if in ways slightly less tangible.
Katrina is especially gifted in being a loving wife, a wise and nurturing mother, and a skilled homeschooling teacher. For those serious about such matters, Katrina welcomes the opportunity to mentor.
Wayne also welcomes the chance to mentor those so willing, preferring areas of familial leadership and spiritual growth.
Just as Katrina and Wayne mentor others, so they are similarly mentored. Such relationships are very Biblical, having been amply demonstrating by our Lord Jesus and countless others. If you are not being mentored, we highly encourage it; and when you're spiritually ready, we encourage you to mentor and disciple others likewise.
