Good Husband
- He must be a born-again Christian, able to give testimony of his salvation.
- He must be patient.
- He must be kind.
- He must not be envious.
- He must be humble.
- He must be not easily angered.
- He must not hold a grudge.
- He must not delight in evil.
- He must rejoice with the truth.
- He must be a protector.
- He must be trusting.
- He must have hope.
- He must persevere.
- He must be loving.
- He must be joyful.
- He must be good.
- He must be peaceful.
- He must be faithful.
- He must be gentle.
- He must have self-control.
- He must be a hard worker.
- He must love the Lord with all his heart, soul, mind, and body.
- He must walk in all God's ways.
- He must hold fast to the Lord.
- He must not worry, but turn to God in prayer.
- He must press onward toward the goal.
- He must build others up with his words.
- He must have not even a hint of sexual immorality or impurity.
- He must not joke coarsely or say inappropriate things.
- He must not gossip.
- He must not be greedy.
- He must not be yoked with unbelievers.
- He must be the salt of the earth and light of the world and obey the Great Commission.
- He must like children.
- He must be committed to attending worship regularly.
- He must keep his priorities straight.
- He must have a sense of humor.
- He must be intelligent.
- He must not be overweight (a violation of the principle of self-control).
- He must be able to support a family.
- He must be the spiritual leader of the home.
- He must be committed to staying out of debt.
- He must be committed to homeschooling.
- He must have some kind of musical ability.
- He must be attractive to me.
- He must have daily quiet times with the Lord.
- He must love Israel and the Chosen People.
Some must's may be should's, as worked out with the parents and the child. The non-negotiable qualities will use the word must, while the rest will use should.
