Stupid driver vent

I drove my son to school this morning. On the way, I drove thru a big puddle of water on a road going thru construction improvements. I made it to school, but the power steering went out right before I dropped dear son off. Then the van started overheating, so I parked in the school parking lot and called my hubby.

Dear hubby came to the rescue from work and worked on the van in the pouring rain to get it fixed. He had to take the wheel off the front passenger side to get underneath the van, jacked up, to fix what needed to be fixed. » read more »

Live Praise & Worship 24/7

The International House of Prayer in Kansas City has teamed up with God TV to webstream their live 24/7 praise & worship sets. They are offering a 7 day trial before having to subscribe ($10 a month). This trial goes until Jan. 7th. You do have to register before getting access to the trial but it's well worth it.

Here's their website to check them out. http://theprayerroom.tv/

These people go day and night worshipping God in prayer intercession & devotion sets. It's pretty powerful. There's just something awesome about live worship. Personal worship alone is great too. But there is something so strong when many get together to worship in a corporate setting. » read more »

Free will?

|

Is there really such a thing as free will?

How can God give us free will if He is omnipresent and omniscient? Time is not a constraint for Him if He is, and was, and always will be. Since He knows everything, then He knows the decisions we will make and when we will make them.

For example, let's say someone prays for financial help on Monday morning. That afternoon, a check comes in the mail from an unknown source. That check had to be mailed before Monday morning in order to make it there that same day, so God had to move someone's heart before Monday to put that check in the mail. That would be before the recipient actually said the prayer. So God knew that the recipient would pray and make preparations before the prayer to get the check in the mail. » read more »

Started ballet this week

|

Well I finally did it. I signed up our oldest daughter for ballet this past Monday. On your recommendations we're now at En Pointe.

Our daughter is only 4 but she really enjoyed the class. I was sidetracked by having to watch her little toddler sister as well, but from what I could observe, the teacher was very friendly and patient with each dancer.

At the end I was moved to tears when they turned out the light to let all the dancers just dance for the Lord in whatever way they wanted. To see these little ones jump and twirl and dance together for Him... an answer dropped in my spirit about why they were here... God made these little ones just so He could enjoy them too. » read more »

Here I am (finally)

Here I am. Finally. Don't know when I'll be back again but I stole some time today to finally post something.

Prayer & Fasting Movement

There are places of prayer opening up across the nation. Known as the "International House of Prayer" - or IHOP - these locations serve to ignite and encourage the young people of this age to a life of fasting and praying until Jesus returns.

There is a location here for the metro area. IHOP Atlanta has just moved into their own building off of Collins Hill Rd. in Lawrenceville. They are open 24/7 for anyone to come and pray. They minister to the Lord with live praise and worship this whole time. Two-hour slots are carved out for different kinds of prayer: Devotional prayer (a time of reflection and Bible study in a worship setting), Apostolic prayer (a time for spiritual warfare and intercession, especially for those living in Atlanta and the area), and Worship in the Word. On Sunday nights they have an Encounter Service, which more resembles a "traditional" church service of praise & worship usually lasting more than an hour, then Bible teaching, then an altar call. » read more »
